About this event
Wayne Snow blends Neo-Soul, Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Electronica, and various synth-based styles with soulful falsetto vocals. Influenced by African and African-American music legends such as Fela Kuti and Marvin Gaye, King Sunny Ade, Sade, and Sun Ra, he has carved out his own niche as a true soul reformer. His upcoming album "Snowdome" is his loudest and boldest work to date. On January 17, 2026, he will bring this powerful and raw fusion to the stage, accompanied by captivating visuals from his long-time collaborator Travys Owen. The Nigerian-born, Berlin-based artist is a key figure in the future jazz/neo-soul scene, significantly contributing to the emergence of nu-jazz as part of Moe Fabrik. He developed key ideas through his collaboration with jazz musician and DJ Max Graef, with whom he wrote songs for the "Red Runner" EP. Collaborations with artists like Mop Mop, the electronic duo Nu Genea, Neue Grafik, and Darius have brought him considerable attention. Snow describes his melodies as colors and is constantly expanding his palette. Over time, from his album "Freedom TV" (2017) through "Figurine" (2021) to his current project "Snowdome," his vision of Afrofuturism and soul has evolved. It's less gentle or dreamy, and more raw, defiant, chaotic, and deeply personal. This is future-soul, reprogrammed for a strange, electrifying present. We can also call it Snow-Soul. Discounted tickets are available for this event to ensure accessibility for those with limited financial means. These are limited and available only through TixforGigs. Attendees are encouraged to purchase standard tickets if they are able, to allow those in need to utilize the discounted options.
