Type One Community is an initiative that brings together people with type 1 diabetes, their friends, and other party-goers through a shared passion for music and dancing, aiming to improve life with diabetes. This event celebrates their second anniversary with a lineup featuring DJs who have type 1 diabetes and their allies. It is described as a day rave with underground dance music, free hypo treatments, and a strong sense of community. The event is held at The Greyhound in Peckham, a venue known for its vibrant atmosphere. As a not-for-profit initiative, optional donation tickets are available to support their work. Booking fees on general admission and donation tickets are reduced thanks to Resident Advisor. The event runs from 2 PM to 10:30 PM and attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
