Poet and musician Anthony Joseph and producer Dave Okumu present an Afrofuturist performance that blends funk, jazz, and soul. The event draws inspiration from 'The African Origins of UFOs' and aims to reclaim lost names and celebrate Black musical heritage by transforming storytelling into sound. The performance explores how music can restore forgotten histories and traces the evolution of Black music through various genres. An accompanying band will create an immersive sound connecting past and present, featuring driving rhythms, improvisation, and political commentary on identity and the future of Afrofuturism.
