No Phone Policy Events Are Taking Over ADE 2025 — And It's Just the Beginning
As Amsterdam Dance Event 2025 approaches, something powerful is shifting in the nightlife scene. More and more events are choosing to go phone-free, focusing on real presence, deeper connection, and emotional freedom. This year, the number of events embracing a No Phone Policy has grown significantly, proving this is not just a trend but a cultural movement. Here’s a look at the standout ADE events leading the way.
MOVES x UMAH at Cut Throat – A Sonder Edition
One of the most exciting No Phone events during ADE is MOVES in collaboration with UMAH at Cut Throat. Known for their boundary-pushing concepts and community-first mindset, this edition dives into house and hard house with a focus on immersive connection. What makes this event unique is that it’s an official Sonder Edition. That means guests can enjoy a phone-free dance floor while still receiving high-quality event content afterward through the Sonder app. No distractions during the night, but memories to relive the next day. At MOVES, the experience comes first.
Intercell Leads with 15 No Phone Events
Intercell is setting a new standard this ADE with no less than 15 events, all enforcing a No Phone Policy. Spread across iconic locations such as H7 Warehouse, Levenslang, and Warehouse Elementenstraat, Intercell offers a full program of hard house, hard trance, and techno. These events are known for their raw energy and industrial edge, and now that vibe will be even more protected. By removing phones from the dance floor, Intercell is doubling down on what really matters: the music, the people, and the freedom to lose yourself in the moment.
Verknipt Brings the Energy to AFAS Live
Verknipt, one of the most recognized names in the Dutch electronic scene, brings two massive ADE editions to AFAS Live. Both events focus on techno and hard techno and now come with a No Phone Policy as well. In doing so, Verknipt shows that even the biggest venues can choose for a more connected and conscious rave experience. This move is a strong signal that the scene is ready for a shift in how we celebrate music and togetherness.
The Loft and Shelter Join the Movement
On October 1st, The Loft and Shelter officially announced that they will be implementing a No Phone Policy moving forward. Both venues have long been known for their curated atmospheres and respected programming. By joining the no phone movement, they are creating even more space for people to be present, expressive, and free. With their wide range of ADE events and lineups, these two clubs are proving that emotional safety and music culture go hand in hand.
Sonder Pop-Up During ADE
Sonder is proud to be part of this growing wave. During ADE, we will be hosting our own Sonder pop-up event in Amsterdam. The location and concept will be revealed soon on our socials. This edition will reflect everything we believe in: presence, atmosphere, freedom, and community. A space where music leads and memories follow, not the other way around.
A Cultural Shift in the Making
The rapid rise of No Phone Policy events during ADE is no coincidence. From underground raves to major venues, organizers are rethinking what makes an event truly unforgettable. At Sonder, we believe the answer lies in human connection, not constant documentation. By removing phones, we create space for spontaneity, emotional freedom, and the kind of memories that don’t need a screen to be real.
So if you’re ready to experience ADE in a new way, you know where to find us. On the dancefloor, in the moment, with no screen between you and the music.
